Tenth win of the season in Jankov Vršok

The chance for the title of Champion of Slovakia is close to reality in the L Racing team. However, four more scored days remain until the end of the season, so no one in the team is resting on their laurels. The beautiful summer weather was cut short on Sunday before the second ride with a sudden shower, which could have shuffled the cards, but Cvrček still won all four races.

Věroslav Cvrček Jr.: “The races on Jankov Vršok turned out great for us. Our preparations were thorough again, we made minor changes to the brake settings. Our team also prepared a second Fabia RS2000 for Polish racer Waldemar Kluza, who also raced under the L Racing flag. I won all four timed races in the Slovak and Polish championships. I made a new track record in the very first scored race on Saturday. On Saturday this brought me a victory with a 1s lead. I had the same lead in Sunday’s first scored race. Right after the race there was a traditionally big thunderstorm with rain. The wet track and the difficult choice of tires could have mixed up the ranking in the second race. The track dried slowly, and we could have still installed slicks, rain tires or tires for transient conditions. The team that monitored the conditions on the track helped me with the tire choice the most. I was also very well advised by team colleague Denis Pavlik and former European Champion Peter Jureňa, who informed me about the conditions on the track after crossing the finish line. We chose old tires, but the right type – a dry, soft blend rally tire. It was a great choice, but I still had to push a lot, and I was skidding at every turn. It was really a great experience and I enjoyed the ride because I suspected a good result. I ended up winning by 1 second in the Polish championship and with a great lead in the Slovak championship, also because of my competition’s wrong choice of tires. L Racing and Rexteam achieved their eighth consecutive victory and their tenth victory this season. We still have two tough weekends ahead of us. We don’t want to underestimate anything, we will continue to work hard and fight humbly. The work and support of all L Racing – Rexteam members was amazing and it made my way to victory much easier.”
