Fabia RS2000 from Rexteam is the fastest also at Zaluz

Another hill climb race (MSR PAV) took place in Poland. The competition in Zaluzi ended up perfectly for L Racing Team – there were a win and trophies.
Austrian Rechberg was the opening race of the season last month and L Racing Team‘s ambitions were set up clearly by Veroslav Cvrcek Jr. with his first win with Skoda Fabia RS2000. The second competition should have been running in a similar way. The track is well-known and L Racing with Rexteam, which prepares the car, never let anything to chance. Still, there can always be a failure and it happened during Saturday race.
Veroslav Cvrcek Jr.: „I have started twice in Zaluzi, so I know the track. I drove through on Friday, just to remind it. This track does not belong to my favorite ones. An incredibly long straight part after the start does not have a really sporty character and the rest of the track is not ideal for our car. It is necessary to brake down to the first gear, then accelerate and brake again. There are no long corners for higher speed. Of course, it is such an experience to drive our Fabia anyway! But settings must be different than on other hills. I could fine-tune car settings and technics of driving during Saturday runs. I won the first sharp drive but then a transmission failure occurred which meant the end of Saturday racing. Luckily, our mechanics repaired the car perfectly. I drove the first training on Sunday and everything seemed to work. I felt the second training would not bring much so I left it out. I won both sharp drives on Sunday and defeated Slovak and Polish drivers. My lead to Igor Drotar was unusually big. Comparison to local racers with strong Mitsubishi specials was also interesting. As a result, I consider that weekend as a positive one. I got an absolute victory in a competition of Slovak Championship and also a victory in a zone of central Europe and FIA cup. I am also happy that Mr Liptak had a good time and we met on the podium. I would like to dedicate this win to Pupi who was not able to take care of the perfect family background in L Racing this time.”
Jan Liptak: „We counted on a Saturday victory which unfortunately did not happen, as there was a failure. But Veroslav could make it on Sunday and won the race. Also, the weather was alright and the organization of the whole competition was running without problems.“
